It's a bit early I know, but any interest for this? Have been the last few years and had a great time. May even combine with a couple of days at Shap Bothy subject to availability etc. Wild camping is usually available at the quarry nearby or in local car parks or at the Station Inn itself: www.thestationinn.net/The quarry is under the bridge in the picture in the link above, and first on the left down the track. We usually do our own thing at Christmas and then arrive 28/29 Dec staying through to the 1/2 Jan. Or stay for as short/long as you want. Great walking and countryside available locally if the weather is tolerable. Station Inn do great food with music, party, and fireworks on New Years Eve. Could be a joint meet with WC4MH as I think Roaming Rog may be doing a similar thread there.

Bloody hell Vern, I don't even know what I'm doing this weekend, let alone in 4 months time!
I may show my face at some point, that's about as close to commitment as I can do ;-)

Sorry a bit early! Roaming Rog had prompted me... I am not usually this organised in advance, more of a last minute person but since it is Xmas time, I guess many people like to organise around other commitments.

Hey everyone, just wondering how many, if any, are planning on making their way over to the Station Inn Ribblehead for the New Year Bash. We have 21 vans signed up on WC, and I have promised Al that I will keep him up to speed with expected numbers, I think it may be something to do with ordering, and I would like to ask if anybody is planning to go, perhaps they could let me know please. Many thanks. Safe travels y'all. Best regards Rog.

No worries, it's a joint meet kind of thing. I think our thread got submerged as we have had such a lot of rallies and stuff in the wonderful autumn weather this year.
Every year at Ribblehead we threaten to climb Ingelborogh and every year the weather is a bit shitty, so maybe this year!
