It will be more fun with snow. But we probably won't climb Ingleborough if the weather is bad.

Are you going to Ribblehead Vernon? Thought you were going to the do down south?

I didn't know there was a do down south, but in any case I will go up North to drop in on the family on the way.

We might come to this meet, but nothing decided yet. Carol won't be missing us - she'll be living it large in the heat of India, jammy bugger! That's if she survives the jabs at the docs I had jabs for Thailand a few years ago. Yellow fever, typhoid, etc. Boy, was I ill for about 4 hours after!!!

Hi all! Survived the jab - it was a combined one so not too bad though my arm has been a bit painful! I really will miss you all! But it's exciting not knowing where I'll be! Needless to say Sue, I'll be singing with you in spirit and we'll make up for it at another meet!

We are thinking of making an appearance, will it be as warm as it was last week in Croatia or had I better bring some socks Welcome to the forum treevorb ! Well I wouldn't hold out any hopes about it being warm. I have been there the last three years and it has rained and snowed a lot of the time. Actually two years ago was not too bad and we got some walking in. But please do come along! If we see anyone at a real life meet they also get a free upgrade to full forum access here with all the wild camping locations etc

And ear plugs if the folk singers are there again ! Make sure you do not have access to anything sharp as the temptation to self harm may get the better of you ! Sent from my Nexus 4 using proboards

When the folk singers are playing you put a finger in one ear or something. In this case you just put fingers in both ears! Actually if Splitty comes it will be good

DEEDLERS. that's what they call em in my local. We have a back room full of em Friday and Saturday nights. On Sunday lunch Mike Harding the Rochdale Cowboy himself has been known to make an appearance. I have my own way of coping with the torment which usually involves strong drink and laughter, they don't like you laughing when they are trying to play seriously (the finger in ear is to stop the wax from coming loose) and in sync. We are looking forward to meeting you all and sharing our New Year with you. Trevor and Dawn

About 10 have expressed interest on this thread, and probably half of those have also posted on WC.
I'd say 5 extra from here maybe, but a couple not definites... your guess is as good as mine, but say 5 vans at the moment and you won't go too far wrong.

That's great Vernon, thanks for that! Looking forward to all meeting up again. Just talking to Al last week and I get the impression that it is going to be a brilliant party and also Dave has said he is happy to play again this year, only this time he is going to bring a small amp, so that he will be heard throughout the bar and not just the few lucky peeps sitting around him. Must remember to tune the new jingle ring before the Meet! Greetings to all. Rog.
