That looks fun! Radwell Lake looks like a great venue, right up my street. Def one I'd like to visit. Perhaps a bit more "Roswell" after your visit last Oct?? Sadly wn't be able to get there as plan to be in Devon that weekend. Have fun All!

I thought about Scarefest - but it is only one night and thus too far for me

I'll have to cry off! Haydn is organizing a meet in Gloucs which would be better for Julie as they have EHU.

If hook up is a deal breaker, could do something closer to home here with hook up. I don't fancy going to Gloucester cos of fuel costs! We save on campsite fees but end up paying out £70 in diesel

Yeah Julie's having an Op in the next few weeks - when they can get her a slot at the Hospital so she will be convalescing. Mind you, it may well be that they book her in that week in which case we will make neither meet! We're at the mercy of the NHS at the moment.

Good luck with that! We'll probably do Radwell even if it is just a handful of us as it is so cheap at £4 and more room round the firepit

Haydn's meet is actually the following weekend, so depending on Julie's op date, I will probably pop down to Radwell on my own for this meet, if her op is after this Julie may join us too. Hopefully they will give us a date soon.

Best of luck for Julie and the Op Radwell has to be the 24-27 as they close in November. There may be fireworks at Hadyn's! I probably won't go though as too far. He was asking me how many vans will fit on half an acre and I told him 15-20. Hope that was right. Only 3m gaps, tut tut, Natural England would not be pleased and where's his exemption cert, LOL. Actually I think Phil still has one.

Thanks Vernon.
I suppose it depends on the shape of the half acre, but assuming it is square I reckon you're about right.
I think I'm going to have to invest in a second leisure battery and solar panel and make more use of the inverter, probably get a propex as our heater isn't working at the moment. I really need to think about a new van tailor made for us, Julie is severely anaemic and feels the cold badly, she turns blue at the slightest drop in temperature and so at this time of year will not venture out of the van much when we are away.

If it's the weekend before Haydn's meet I might come if nothing else on, and Northerners are welcome!

Cool... looks like we will have a few at Radwell! About 10 at the moment, but we can do up to about 18.
I'll give Penel Meridith-Hardy a heads up. We can probably have the Orchard or the field/woodland is good too. Firepit allowed for both.

She wasn't French Carol, but I'm sure that sounds better than Runcorn - have no fear, she'll be back soon . They are starting to re-run the programme on Viva now - 10pm Monday to Thursday, so I am waiting for that episode again

Actually I think Phil still has one. It looks like an oblong field on the website photo. My first impression was that it looked quite small.
