We're going to buy a newer van, but unfortunately this has to go first
Advert copied from elsewhere, cuz I'm lazy
2/3 BERTH 1995 PEUGEOT BOXER 2.5 DIESEL CAMPERVAN MOTORHOME
It has:
Electric hook up
12v plug for TV etc
12v & 240v fridge, with a small freezer compartment, this could be hooked up to run on gas, but we've never had the need to.
240v plugs
4 ring hob & grill
split charge system to charge leisure battery whilst driving & 240v charger to be used when on electric hook up
cold running water with containers underneath the sink
the L shaped lounge pulls out easily to make a very comfortable double bed using the better spring & foam filled cushions
We have had a bunk bed altered to fit across the front seats, which makes a nice single bed, our 10 year old daughter slept quite well here
porta loo in a toilet/changing room with a cupboard fitted for clothes etc
There are plenty of drawers, a couple of overhead cupboards & plenty of storage under the seats
external electric hook up socket & external aerial socket
Bracket on the rear door for the supplied digital aerial
110 amp Leisure battery,
gas bottle & regulator
water containers
fiamma silver thermal screens
table
electric hook up cable
LED lighting throughout inside
Brand new curtains & flooring
Towbar with electrics, I've personally never used it so can't comment on if it's OK
Just add bedding & kitchen utensils & you're ready to go
In the last couple of months we've had brand new track rod ends, new wiper blades & alternator fitted,
This week we have had a brand new driveshaft, reverse camera with monitor & cigarette lighter socket fitted
Now for the down sides, the bodywork could do with some TLC although it is perfectly presentable as it is.
It is very hard to get into 3rd gear, near impossible, I have been all over in this van & just go from 2nd to 4th gear & it has caused no issues whatsoever, we had a mechanic check the van over & he said it is something to do with a gear change fork worn on top of the box so wouldn't need the box out to repair, he also mentioned it had a dry wheel bearing & the diesel pump is dripping, this is just an "O" ring inside the top of the diesel pump & the pump wont need to be removed to be repaired, because of the drip if the van is left for a length of time it needs to be hand primed before starting, this is very simple to do & I can explain if you want to have a look, this also causes some white smoke on cold start, but clears up quickly, less than a minute.
So, a day with the spanners should see this perfect.
I have been totally honest with the description as you can tell, so you know what you're going to see when you get here.
Correctly registered as a motor caravan on the V5, so cheaper insurance, taxed till the end of this month & MOT'd untill October 2013.
If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask
Advertised elsewhere for £1800, will take £1700 if anyone here is interested
