Whilst we are all wild campers problems arise when it is decided to hold a meet or rally that involves more then 3 vans. This is easily overcome by the aquisition of a rally exemption Certificate, its free yet allows rallies to be held on any site with the landowners permission. Application for such a certificate is made to Natural England and is fairly straight forward for any organisation that is properly constituted. Which again costs nothing. so costs zero benefits the ability to hold regular meets in all sorts of places. I have a CL in north Devon that can cater for such a rally without restriction to numbers provided there is a rally exemption certificate in place. and rally rates are £5 per van per night for over 10 vans. Water and waste dump on site and a WC with sink and cold water only available to campers as well as a marquee for meeting in. There are similar sites all over the country that are available if an exemption certificate is in place. So what is the general feeling any interest and would the management consider pursuing an exemption certificate.

We probably would not look at getting an exemption certificate. It is a lot of paperwork and hassle for little gain. Filling in paperwork and meeting the requirements takes time which essentially is money. We are not like WC4MH where we have an income to support such ventures, and even WC4MH decided that they would not persue a certificate for a second year as it was found they could either meet wild or there were enough venues which would take some risk and let them have a corner of a car park without the formalities of the certificate. There is also a question of insurances to be looked at if we become too formal and again since we are a totally free site, and always will be, we don't have any income to support such insurances.
However, I'm sure some people would be interested in visiting your location either individually or as a small group which did not require a certificate.
