Hi is anybody interested in going to France in a small group? Or, do people know of places where to go to meet other vanners? I travel alone and would love to get to France this year but not really up for doing it by myself. Any tips, advice, suggestions? ps I am a "lady" !

I would sometime. My passport has run out at the moment though.
I've been to France quite a bit - camping North Coast, Honfleur etc. Not with a MH, however - with a car and tent and stayed in caravans. By all accounts using the Aires is easy and cheap and you'd meet people. A lot of couples though.

we are planning to go to France for September... Honfleur is one of our planned destinations as we have visited that area quite a bit but this will be the first time with the MH.

Camping Du Phare (The Lighthouse Campsite) at Honfleur I have used quite a few times. I'd probably use aires or wild now though.

French passion looks good. I have seen before, but with me I'd feel kind of obliged to buy some of the produce! I'd probably end up spending £10-15 at each place, but that's not bad at all for a holiday, considering you are getting free camping, and also some food either to eat that day or for the store cupboard.

I may well be in France again this year...spent five months there last year. I used aires almost exclusively...nearly always found free ones and didn't pay for water or waste. It made it all much more affordable. There is a POI available...Archie's campings is where I got mine, but it can be found in other places. www.archiescampings.eu/eng1/

I have spent many summers in France in a small camper - been all over but with my partner (now sadly passed away) so I do know about the Aires and the cheap municipals etc, just don't want to travel by myself.
