Hi fokes thought i would start a thred about my campervan conversion Mellow Yellow .
Me and my partner are planning a trip to germany in may to see her brother for a couple o weeks and some exploring on the way there and back in our freshle bulit campervan . We also will be using it for our hobby (gold paning ) . We hope to be totaly Campsite free on our adventures . We also have a husky dog that will be coming with us really friendly dog and great conversation starter .
I know i am going to be hard pushes for getting the van complete for mid may but i can get help from a friend (experct vw classic campervan restorer just his time is limited he has loads of work on his hands just now ) .
Vauxhall movano 2.5 dti . lwb hightop 2004 .
Al list some of the big stuff we have bought to much to list everything we have
webasto 12v hight heater
Double bubble foil insulation (just finished fitting it)
carver ge water heater + pump pipe etc
all show parts tray taps etc
sink / hob and grill unit
Van carpet lining
fresh and waste water tanks (aqua role)
12v fuse boxes /wire / switches etc
Roof vent / light
4 strip lights for van and 2 spot lights for the bed room
etc list goes on but thats the main stuff
We are lining the van with new 6mm plywood for side panel's and using old 3mm plywood for celling and to fully cover sliding and rear doors . Using original Plywood flooring but will also be insulated befor getting fixed in place .
To Date i have striped the van and insulated and dry fitted my new plywood side panels and started to run some wires behind the panels to hide them also i have fitted the bed base (can be seen in pics ) .
My next step is to dry fit original plywood floor in and mark areas where holes need to be cut for heater / gas bottels and shower drain .
Well heres a couple of pics not the best but took in darkness .
Cheers for looking Colin
