My conversion is finished, well as close as they ever are, so it got me thinking about what to do next. So I'm looking at something to power the 12v from 240 when on EHU, anyone have any ideas? It needs to run the water pump & a couple of small lights. I have a 110 ah battery, charged from a split charger & intelligent charger.
I occasionally leave the van on site with my wife & daughter for a few days at a time & go home on my motorbike, so would like the peace of mind they aren't running the battery down.

The intelligent charger would keep the battery topped up so I don't think you need anything else,

to be honest I don't need to go to the expense of a solar panel, when wilding I never stay anywhere longer than one night & years of having a caravan running from a single 80ah battery with no hook up teaches you how to conserve power, it's more for piece of mind for me while I'm not there.

is the smart charger a 240v one or 12volt when the engines running, a 240 battery charger would keep it topped up if they are on sites with power!
