I have to admit I am somewhat of a lapsed reader. I used to read all kinds of novels, classics, magazines etc But the internet took over from that in the late 1990's. I have done a lot of forums and discussion groups and I read a lot of factual stuff on places like Wikipedia - history, arts, music, science. Also You Tube has some surprisingly good information in video form among all the dross on there. You can listen to classic novels (for example by HG Wells), or you can get videos on guitar or violin playing whereas previously I would have got a book on those things. Anyway my latest read is Storme by Bel Ravenne. Actually her name is Annabelle and she's one of my friends from the online magic community and also Facebook, though we have met in real life too a few times. It's her first novel so I thought I'd support her by getting a copy www.belravenne.co.uk/www.troubador.co.uk/book_info.asp?bookid=2040I've only read a few chapters so far, but it is pretty good. I'll let you know more when I've finished it. What's your latest read?

I hadn't read a book in years until I acquired a Kindle last year and now I've become an avid reader once again. ' My first Kindle read was Free Country: A Penniless Adventure the Length of Britain' - 2 blokes who leave Lands End with nothing but their boxer shorts and they have to cycle to John o'Groats relying on the goodwill of those they meet to provide to provide food, clothing, accommodation and even their bikes. I think this might appeal to others here. and.... 'Chucking It All - How Downshifting to a Windswept Scottish Island Did Absolutely Nothing to Improve My Quality of Life' - a couple who escaped the rat race by moving to Orkney. Just started: 'When I Walk, I Bounce: Walking from Land's End to John o'Groats' Next on the list are: 'Road to Endorphia: Running From John O'Groats to Land's End' 'One Man and LEJOG' - yes, there's something of a common theme emerging here! I've also read 'Marie Potter and The Campervan of Doom'... I can also highly recommend the Kindle edition of ''Caring for your Companion Pet Rabbit - a Guide for Grown-Ups''
