I see Moggs now has height barriers and Hutoft is going to get them. Thanks all you unsocial prats who made this happen. you know who you are. The ones who stay for several days, weeks, months. and make the place look like a pikey camp.

what a shame. we used to go there in car when we didn't have the van a few years back. maybe someone with an angle grinder wants to collect a bit of scrap!

never used moggs eye, prefer to wake up and see the sea at huttoft, usual routine is drive up friday evening, get chinese in sutton. breakfast at huttoft, walk the beach (the dog loves it), drive down to jinglemells or skegvegas, have rest of day there. back to huttoft in evening, breakfast, another long walk, then tootle home back to world.

We had been using these beachs since the early 70s wooler bank, six marshes, moggeye and huttoft up till about 4yrs ago it was mainly fishermen and only a few camper vans spread between them, then a group started to use six marshes regular safety in numbers and then the coverage on Internet multiplied the numbers,as said people felt safe there so took the piss and stayed for weeks on end same story with Scarborough ,clevelys ect all down to Internet and safety in numbers

My French is pretty good... unfortunately, it is not the same language as the people in France speak! I am better off reading or writing it. As for Mogg's eye, it's a trek for me, but I would like to visit the terrace at Hutoft sometime and it would be a shame if there are barriers up.

Ce n'est pas un endroit magnifique ..... la mer est froid, le vent est de force coup de vent et le sable pénètre dans tous les orifices!

It's not a great place... the sea is cold, the wind gale force, and the sand gets into all your holes

Just got back from France but not in my van, unfortunately. Went green every time I saw one - and in France there are loads of them. Wonder what the French think of them? I never had any problems but that was 6 years ago and probably not as many on the roads as now.

These height barriers popping up are putting me off getting a taller van!
