Anyone else around the virtual campfire tonight? Have stoked it up nicely! NOt too lively tonight as works do last night, and we had free wine all night....well what can you do but enjoy! Dont rememeber getting home , apart from taxidfriver waking me up every now and then for directions. Do rememeber the MD pinching my bum and me pinching his in return, flipping office parties and too much wine, still think I behaved better than one infamous other year that I won't bore you with, suffice it say, I didnt remember the incident at first, but had an odd feeling that I may have done something....then someone told me and I was sooo mortified!!

Aww missed you, just cooking tea, may well be back later also after a few glasses of red. Do you debate the merits of tugging ot not with your friends? Its often something people have definite opinions about! -and don't often want to cahnge our minds, yes its habdy to have a car when you are some where for a while - but thats about it!

I'm awake now - have been sleeping most of the day! And I was going to fit my Propex today as well (hhrummphhh ) Oh well, there's always tomorrow! Sometimes I have a debate with tuggers. It comes down to lifestyle really, I don't think there's a right or wrong answer but for wilders the MH has got to be a better choice.

Any excuse not to fit the propex thing eh Firefox!! Yeah wilding not as easy with a caravan in tow, and yes I know everyone has right to their own opinion, just find it hard to understand!! Why would you not prefer a camper van??!! Just seems obvious!! But I don't (well ususally dont) say that to tuggers!! ;D

Well, playing devil's advocate, a caravan has the advantage you can leave everything laid out and go off and tour in the car. It's more of a campsite thing - for us it doesn't have too much relevance. Also, caravans are cheaper to buy than motor homes, and depending on the size of the motorhome you may need a second vehicle all of which adds to the ongoing running cost and investment.
Another thing I have seen is these people who seem to use their van about 4 weekends a year or for 2 week annual hols. Then they make a huge song and dance every autumn about taking it off the road, draining it and laying it up for 6 months. These kind of people would be far better off with a caravan. Much less investment and depreciation involved. Whereas we are 12 month a year campers so a motor-home makes sense.

Just stoking the fire. Windy with very clear skies this morning. Lots of stars earlier. Still dark, but sun on the way - I'm watching the soft peach light on the horizon in the East. Morning coffee, anyone?

Didn't get back last night, too hard to type after a bottle of red The tuggers had a camper ,but are strictly sites only ,so the wife used to follow in the car! They have just traded the camper in for a new caravan and gone back to tugging

Morning! Just popped in to warm my hands by the fire... brrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Anne, I always think it should be easier to lose weight in the winter because we're burning more calories just keeping warm! It's all the lovely hot comfort food isn't it? I had puddings practically every day this past week, including caramel apple pie and custard in Caerphilly... *joins Lotusanne on the michelin man bench*

Nope... is that the one where they are always under some impossible deadline to make "restaurant quality food" using dried ice, wild cherries, cinnamon ice cream, flaked mint, a blow torch, and nitrous oxide
