After 10 years of full time wild camping in the UK and Europe, I know a few places or 3 lol
I'd love to somehow put them all up for you but it would take weeks to get all the data and write up stuff about them.
So, I will add them as I go if I can remember.
Where I am right now is Team Valley Trading Estate in Gateshead Borough. It's an industrial and commercial estate just south of Newcastle on Tyne, 10 minutes drive north from Durham. There are countless good spots on the estate, some by a wood by a stream but this one is by a large square field which is ideal for sitting on or walking the dog.
Centralway
, Gateshead NE11 0JS, 54.932000, -1.620664
There is a cafe about 60 metres from the field which does incredible food and there's sandwich vans galore as you could imagine.
Access is directly off the A1 and the estate is about a mile or so long with grid roads coming off one main carriageway.
The parking is basically by the side of the road. This estate was built with lorries in mind so the roads are all mostly wide enough for an HGV each side and 2 lanes still free in the middle. There are numerous areas, some quieter than others to park and there is never any bother with anyone roaming around or causing problems. The local police patrol know me here now and even stopped one night to chat about advice for buying a motorhome.
There are 2 small woods for walking in and walking the dog, several large fields and if you walk a mile from the estate either east or west there is a very large urban park or a rural area to explore.
The field in the centre of the screenshot is the main one I park beside simply because the dog will roam the field without crossing the roads. He loves to explore the waste ground you can see north, north east of the field too.

There are pubs close by too even in walking distance but there are no toilets to empty your cassettes and there is private security on the estate with CCTV so don't even think about emptying in the bushes.
There's a Sainsburys about a 1/4 of a mile away, and 3 shopping areas within 3 miles for almost anything you could want. There's also a cheap fuel station within a mile that has a carwash, reasonably priced LPG and a free water tap.
This is almost as good, in fact it is better than some campsites so treat it well if you visit the north because English Estates who manage it have turned a blind eye to me over the last 10 years even though sometimes I stay for weeks when visiting family, and I believe that's because they know I never leave litter, I don't empty my toilet here, I'm never in anyone's way and I don't sit out with chairs and table and a barbecue on a night time like some idiots do.
Hope this helps.
