I needed some advice on how to wire a reversing camera to the van with no wires on show. Carol came over for a couple of days and showed me how to do it. I think I now have enough confidence to do it on my own next time. .... Tom .... upload pics

Carol is a world renowned authority on wireless reversing cameras and those pics of her attacking the side of your van with a drill are therefore not at all frightening . you're a brave man Tom !

Tom .... upload picsyou are right about danger the ladder is the wrong way around and nobody footing it, no safety boots, goggles, hard hat and hi vis vest being worn and get that jewellery off that could easily get caught in machinery. I shall be contacting her employer and union rep to get her thrown of site. and what is she doing drilling a hole there that's no place to install a reversing camera !!

Would love to Chris but got a job on tomorrow. May I suggest you move the gin? gin crisis has been averted with a temporary fix of a plastic bag, the good news is the seals are ok but the bad news is the top of the vent has gone west ( or possibly north, east or south dependant on which way I was driving or the wind was blowing when it flew away ) now as you are the motorhome expert should I just replace the top which are expensive for its type and would cost about £100 fill in the hole with a piece of wood and a lot of silicone cost about £5 or upgrade to either an electric fan assisted vent which would be handy for smoke extraction when the cooking gets a bit wrong or a larger panoramic skylight which would be handy to climb out for roof cleaning. I await your expert advice and your availability for fitting

If it had not been such a rip off price for the existing cover it being 3 time the price of a slightly smaller 400 x 400 vent I would have done, but I have decided to upgrade and ordered a Fiamma turbo vent which should fit into the existing frame as has been done here I was considering fitting a kitchen extract but this may now be unnecessary with this fanned vent, a large panoramic vent would have been nice giving much needed light into the van but they are ridiculously expensive, may have weakened the roof structure and Carol may have had trouble fitting such a large item were as I'm sure she will have no trouble fitting and wiring up this vent after her experience gained with reversing cameras this should be easy
