Have you put something on elsewhere Pen. I did not know you had a problem with your lights. I presume someone has helped you out and bypassed something looking at the second photo. If that's not the case, what as happened ?. Why would you want a new control panel if the lights work?. .... Tom ....

Oh dear sorry to see that. Did you hit a rock? Is it fibreglass or plastic?
Either way that can probably be repaired with a fibreglass repair kit - matting and gel etc. Then a body filler repair, sand and fill, sand and fill etc.
Difficult to get an exact paint match though. Depends on the finish you want, but a fair bit of work.

From memory, you have a new van, go for insurance claim get a proper job done by professional, and take the excess. It will keep the value of your van in the long run.

Dohhhh body panel what was I thinking of. Everything Vern said is spot on. Also everything Ricky said is also spot on. If you want to protect your no claims go to a professional body shop and pay, they should match it all up including the paintwork. Sorry to see its got its first wound but it will be probably one of many over the years. What happened?. .... Tom ....

I didn't get up the hill onto the main rd, reversed for a run up into the hedge as I tried to correct it just slipped so ended up right in the hedge ! Farmer Phil pulled me out so now at least I now know tow works ! Could have been worse I was worried about getting off the field, when things go wrong I need to stop think look Took it to Sharonthecats garage they are going to send a quote not going down insurance route They say it won't show on the outside just underneath and I will lose the sticker. They have also come up with an idea to stop the plastic being the first thing to scrap but I will run it by you boys first

Yeah it was a nasty little hill, if you stopped at the top the wheels would have had a job gripping to get going again. Chistine (windancer) had to do the same as you and back up and have a second try. I stopped at the bottem and put it in bottom and just chugged up nice and slow ready to stop if I had to but luckily the road was clear. Don't worry there will be plenty more dings and dents in the future. .... Tom ....

I did same as Tom and just crossed fingers hoping road was clear. Penny would have done it on first attempt if turning left, but turning right to go up to Stiperstones was a bugger. I didn't dare say it at the time but her van did look funny, parked up in the hedge at a crazy angle ;D

I just kept it moving, I knew it was too steep to stop and the surface was too poor.
But I had the advantage of going out at night so I could see any headlights approaching.
For the exit to a major venue like that I wonder if something can be done to rework the slope and improve the junction. The council may be able to help out Farmer Phil on safety grounds.

Or they could build a pub halfway up the slope so we could slide back into it for the night. OK perhaps not!.

I am all for a closer pub, but those 2.5 miles walks did give us good exercise!
I went out twice, once in the day turning right, and that is a real challenge. The other time I went at night turning left, very much the easier route but still tough in a big vehicle.
