spent the day at Oxwich bay, beautiful stretch of sand, good safe shallow bay, great for kids and dogs, then up to the moor for the night. wake up surrounded by wild ponies and lots of foals, and a north and south view of the sea. couple of other vans there, one couple had 6 dogs in the van, nothing mad about that of course, and spent the day at a nice campsite for £3 a day, using all facilities-sounded ok i think.next day at Rhosili £3 all day parked on a nice grass field overlooking the bay, walked to the Worm's head causeway, didn't fancy the climb.
woman next to us lost her mother, she'd struggled off on 2 sticks to use the loo and hadn't been seen for 2 hours ! coastguard were running round on quads and the cops were looking, she turned up ok about 4 hours after going off,she turned right instead of left out of the loo and was found plodding along the coast path some distance to the north
next day the road from ponterdawe to llandovery, beautiful drive through mummy nature, loads more horses and foals and loads of places to stay the night, often by water
i was going to put up photos but they're too big

any road that goes through the black mountains, especially if next to a river,is worth a look.once you go over the cattle grid, you leave civilisation behind - lovely ! all along the pembroke coast is pretty good too
