WooHoo I just ordered a Gasit kit today! It'll be here tomorrow (Friday) I've been thinking about it since my last refill as many have recommended it. As I now have a propex heater I get through a bit more gas so should make a good saving, plus never run out again

Hi Chris, I have a 11 kg Gasit with external fill, connected to stove and Propex, all works well except guage cannot be relied upon, non linear in its action. Cheap gas although gas stations are spread out. Last week none working on Skye!

That's the same system as I'm getting. Maybe we could add a POI list of suppliers? I'm really hoping not to run out of gas again, lol. One of the reasons I'm going for it is because when I was touring Scotland I had trouble getting a refill on calor! I had to wait a day or two until Lochinver. Maybe it's just Scotland……can be hard enough to get diesel!

PS- did you tell the company about the gauge? Do think that's a problem across the board or that you just have a faulty one?

Nah., didn't flag it up with them, just live with it. Current consumption the tank will last a month, so do a search on tinternet at two weeks in.

When you think about what is actually happening in a gas cylinder it would be impossibe to have an accurate guage unless you had them standing on some kind of scales and then you would need accurate empty weights to calibrate before the first fill .

I have a Gasit twin 6kg bottles I use one at a time. I.E. When one runs out I start to look to refill...simples. I use my van in winter quite a lot and the £300 I paid for the kit has more than paid for itself. I fitted it on the 22/09/2013. Well worth it...........
