I'm afraid we were probably leading you all astray. It's a good job I'm not drinking in the week now! Somehow don't think she needs leading astray!

Oh gosh hope I am doing this right as this will be my first post on this forum, had an absolute blast at Whitwell sitting round a fire pit slowly getting sloshed in the fresh air perfectly fabulous It sounds as though you are easily led Annie and you certainly had a few good role models. lol Good first post!!! There was a time when I was the one doing the leading and getting into all sorts of bother mellowed a bit with age but can still neck the amber nectar or any other colour come to think of it.

Another Great Meet, thoroughly enjoyed it! Cheers esp. to Mark for His 1st Meet-Organising. Only way to improve it for next time is for Everyone to bring Their Own Dog, Gennie & Lawn-Mower!!!

As I said over on WC, glad everyone enjoyed themselves and as it happens not much organising needed by me. The funds raised from pitch fee's alone came to £480 and were greatly appreciated by Mike of The Whitwell & Reepham Preservation Society,(also the site owner) I'm pretty certain the bar takings must have been well up over the weekend as well , I certainly seemed to have made more of a contribution than I intended. All being wellit is a real possibility for a repeat performance next year if not sooner, hopefully some of you will visit sooner, I'm now working on the owner of a snooker club in Costessey as a venue for overnight stopovers / weekend minimeets etc, room for around 5 -10 vans, they also have a bar and regular karaoke nights,

I have already apologised for using the Gennie, and it was only a couple of hours out of three days! Hopefully I won't have a flat leisure battery next time

Hopefully I won't have a flat leisure battery next time No need to apologise about using a generator I also use one when needed, pretty certain Glen was jesting in his post, didn't know about your battery problem you could have brought the van over and put it on my hook up, I would have also taken a look at the problem, I had all my work tools etc in my other van, glad you got it sorted.

Hehehe, Gennies... lawnmowers... you can't hear any of them in the Sidings bar, LOL. We could have used a hook up if there were any free, but we hadn't paid for a hook up, and it is a whisper 50db Honda Genny, so seemed like the best bet at the time. Battery was down at 10.4v so fairly urgent to get 3 hours charge on the plates. Quieter and cheaper than running the diesel engine on the alternator at any rate

Until reading this thread, I didn't even realise a generator had been running - it must have been really loud - NOT

Yes, it is no more than gentle chat round a campfire that particular genny, but there are people who love to complain about anything, and good luck to them, if that's what they enjoy. My conscience is clear though

Cheers Mark great meet great bar great place. As for the genny I saw it only a few yards from me and I wandered when you was gonna start it up. I know its quiet because it was right next to me at Ribblehead when you needed it to fix Christine's van and I could not hear it then. Anyway even though I couldn't hear it, it still spoil't my holiday so I'm off now, grumble, grunt, moan, groan. . .... Tom ....
