w00t - see you all there!
I'm doing the 5:2 diet this week. That means at least two alcohol free days and only 500 cals. I'll be suffering withdrawal symptoms by Friday...
Hope the Station Beer is good!

Very quiet here today, I think everyone is going to Whitwell!
Friday and Sat are usually the quietest days.
I am off now.... if you don't hear from me till Monday, no signal there, but I hope there will be a three mobile signal, there usually is!

The 3G signal was fairly dodgy in the wilds of Norfolk; but managed to pick up some wifi here and there.
So, another interesting weekend. The roads aren't brilliant and venue is really tucked away, but what a great venue. I arrived 10.30pm, just too late to catch the Sidings bar but parked up in the field where there were about 30 vans and a roaring fire going. Was up to 4am! Next day, we went on a walk along the old railway track bed to Lenwade, about 2 miles south. We found a pub (The Bridge) and watched the Grand National.
Then back to the Sidings bar at Whitwell where they had a big marquee and this night, a bar extension. There were diesel hauled train rides going on the Saturday Some more beers followed by another excellent campfire. At this meet, another group had a chimera going so there was lots of entertainment an Roaminrog did a cheese and wine earlier in the day. Donkey Too had his charity stall going, so there was lots to do.
On Sunday, it was steam day on the railway, and they had a little industrial tank engine going back and forth giving rides. We had some coffees in station building cafe - it's a great set up on the railway - not large as preserved railways go, but very well cared for. Jo made me some noodles again - thanks Jo! Then in the afternoon, had a jam on the guitar round the fire (still going!) with Ricky, and after that Carol had a charging problem with a flat leisure battery which turned out to be loose connections in the engine bay, so I fixed that and charged up her battery with the genny. The battery was completely flat so we had to charge it ASAP in case it got sulphated. Then Penny13 and Karen kindly made us an evening meal, before we went back to the Sidings bar and watched the Formula 1 on the big screen till closing time.
A great weekend with lots to do. Many thanks to Mark (Fulltimer) for organising it, and I hope we managed to bring some money into the railway. These steam lines are expensive to run and they need plenty to restore one of their other locos.

Annie getting sloshed around the firepit is the best bit.... I stayed off the vodka this weekend but you know when that comes out I am normally in for a session drinkup..its the devils poison!!! We got tons of drink to get rid of at the Rudgwick meet guys ....brandy vodka the lot ...I cant give it away. Will be making my very own cocktails too at the meet...could call it 'Jaks kak' or summit like that !!!
