I saw this advertised for a VW and thought what a great idea. tinyurl.com/pfab4tu I'd like something for my habitation door which could be smarter than what I currently use. I've got some netting that rather unceremoniously hangs in the gap, but it does allow the dogs passage in and out. I get bitten dreadfully so need to have defences - in addition to Avon Skin so Soft.

They sell those nets for modern vans in the Reimo catalogue .They're hideously expensive though.

They sell those nets for modern vans in the Reimo catalogue .They're hideously expensive though. Very true. We bought a big sheet of the netting and found that it stitches up on a sewing machine just like normal. we made panels for all of our opening windows with the fat type of lolly sticks sewn into pockets around a hem margin. The sticks help to slide the panels into the rebate slots that the glass usually occupies. done similar for the side slider door, but just had to use Velcro at intervals to secure the perimeter. Not as secure, but the door for daytime use will always be breached; the windows panels have allowed us to stay vented & mozzie free through the night, and whilst driving.

That sounds good ross! I'm thinking to make one to fit inside the back doors first and then one for the sliding door area.Where did you buy your netting from?
Stephen.
