Brilliant thanks Vern - I will give it a go. This is just like having a personal trainer in the gym No problem, if you don't have a teacher, starting off can be a bit daunting. I'll probably put all our posts in a separate Ukulele thread so it won't clutter the meet

Can I make the Paella? I'm not Spanish though but I can play the tambourine - will that do. Daughter Jess won't be happy mind as it's her favourite and she only said yesterday "We haven't had paella for ages Mum". Perhaps I can persuade her to come

BTW, hope it's OK for this Sunday, to check out Splittie's van - can I go straight on the airfield - any pass or security needed?

Sounds like it is going to be a good weekend. Lee will be really upset to miss paella ( I won't as hate seafood..)
Perhaps a repeat can be organised for Hereford if we make it??
Have a good weekend.

Really sorry you cant make it ...hopefully we will get another meet there in the summer Just a few reminders: Here is the location for RIVERSIDE FARM IN RUDGWICK: www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.08...2w!2e0!6m1!1e1 POST CODE : RH12 3HW I thought I would just mention that although the farm is tucked away once you go through the main gate ..the road A281 can sometimes get a little busy. Its quite easy to miss the gate (which I still do often) so on the day I will try and put a sign/flag/or even a helium balloon to catch your eye. I find it easier to slow right down on approaching the main gate because its at a awkward angle. (Please could you close the gate behind you). Drive down to the far field and park up wherever you like. I am sorry I could not get it for any less than £8.00 night but perhaps if it becomes a bit of a regular place for some of us the owners may be happy to let us stay for a lot less. The owners are lovely people and nothing is too much trouble for them ...they are really pleased the farm is going to be enjoyed and brought to life. All they ask that although they don't mind dogs off lead within reason, to please keep them close to you and certainly away from the main house. They have dogs of their own, chickens a couple of horses and a very frail cat....so they do ask that you do keep dogs on leads when walking past the house. For those that like paella ...we are all bringing a contribution to the paella dish so just bring whatever you want to chuck in. All we need now is the weather

Just an idea......If it rains , what about setting up a large tarp off the van side, or across 2 vans with a ridge pole in the middle for water run off? I could make summat up? Let me know.

Rodeo it would be lovely you could make it. Kindly Millie is brining a gazebo just in case it rains...but any other shelter would be useful If you have a musical instrument then great or a pair of spoons will do .... Oh Carol ....wish you could make it too.
