www.facebook.com/events/520231948052783/If you are not on Facebook, all you need to know is it's at: Bank Farm Family Pub near Anderby Road, Chapel St. Leonards, PE24 5 Basically a low cost fest from the Music Consortium To quote Jo Winch They organised last year at very short notice and it was very good even then, so this year sounds a must attend event!

I Will have to give it a miss this year as already have a ticket for something else a little bit north that weekend I wanted to go to Something Else that weekend as 3DM are playing but no dogs allowed. I'll be doing a craft stall again at Seaside Fest which will help towards the cost of fuel for a couple of weeks holiday in the van. You'll have to pick up their new album for me. No Levellers or 3DM for me this year :-( unless they do a surprise gig up north. You fancy BAMfest?

I was going to do Something Else but don't want to miss Seaside Fest, so I'll join the convoy though not at the front, as I tend to drive off and leave people behind!

Unlikely to do Bamfest as will only just be back from two weekends on the trot going to Something Else Somewhere Else and Bearded Theory

Copied from Ady's (singerontour) post on WC - gives full details.... Hi folks , Well ,Jo and i are very happy to announce we have secured a revised date for this years SeaSide Fest ! AUGUST 1st/2nd/3rd The line up of acts will be announced around the end of February and we already have a great line up coming together. For those of you who didn't make it last year this is a small ,friendly ,family music festival weekend with acts from all over the country all sorts of styles so something for everyone. This years event we plan to charge for camping and i am suggesting a cost of £10 per Motorhome/Unit a night / £25 for the three nights ,i would like your feedback on if you all think this is reasonable ? (especially those of you who made it and enjoyed it last year!).. Some answers to questions asked last year.. * Is there fresh water supply available ? YES * Is there a rubbish bin ? YES * Are hook ups available ? NO * Are well behaved dogs allowed ? YES * Are camp fires allowed ? NO * Can we bring our own food and drink ? YES you can ,however it is worth considering the bar serves a good array of very well priced drinks (IE. PINTS @ £2) and food will be available again at VERY good prices ,breakfast last year was £3 and large breakfast £5 which was enough to fill you for the day !!! * How far is the festival site to the beach? Literally a 2 minute walk to a very quiet and unspoilt beach only a few hundred yards from the site. * Can we arrive on site early ? YES the Festival starts on Friday 1st at 7 pm but you can pull on site from the Thursday night and camp for free if you use the bar or food facilities. * Can we stay later than Sunday? YES the festival finishes at 4pm Sunday 3rd August but you will be permitted to stay the night again if paying the £25 for three nights * What facilities are there? There are basic facilities ie toilets, washbasins ,running water however no showers ,laundry or hookups. * Is the parking on a field ? No there are pitches for approx 25 motorhomes on a graveled area (this year we are hoping to obtain further camping both on and off site in addition) * What is the festival format? A wide variety of acts and bands of all genres on a small stage that will become an acoustic gathering around midnight each night when the main acts finish allowing a reduction of sound levels so children and lightweights can get some sleep lol. There will however (if last year is anything to go by!) be much music and fun until the early hours ,including a dawn dip in the sea and sunrise watching!!! Tickets will soon be on sale so if you are interested at this point i will make a list and then contact you when the tickets are available. Thankyou all for your interest and we really look forward to seeing all those from last year and lots more new faces on what is likely to be a very memorable weekend again, just ask those who came last year!!!! Any questions please dont hesitate to ask us. www.facebook.com/events/5202...y_type=regular

Does anyone who is going to Farmer Phil's and has been to Brandon have any idea of how far away each is? Is it nearer than the original site? I know I could get my atlas out but I'm being lazy!

Brandon is further south than Hutoft/The Bank by 40-50 miles, but much easier journey to Farmer Phils as it is on a level with Shrewsbury. And from Brandon you can go A11, A14, M6, M54 - it's all dual carriageway, whereas Skegness to Shrewsbury is a horrible cross country journey.

I should be going Have been to the Ram a few times and it's cool. It will get poor reviews from typical weekend campers because the toilets and shower are a bit basic and the field sometimes a bit rough, but to be honest as far as wild campers go, we don't usually have a toilet, shower, or even a field so to us it is luxury Plus it is the kind of place where you can have a fire, and make a bit of noise till quite late, so actually it is ideal.

We'll be there for Riverfest and possibly a few times before then, love the place, as said it's not for the 2 weeks a year club type campers and facilities are pretty basic but it's a great place and very easy going. We'll probably be there from the Thursday through till Monday / Tuesday
