www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C463184Only problem is it is 11 tonnes. Would be worth a couple of thousand just as scrap, so I think they want around £3500 for it. Plenty of space for a sympathetic conversion on 4x4 though.

Just wondering how any of you would approach a conversion.
The crew cab looks roomy for an excellent lounge and kitchen towards the rear of the windowed bit, with plenty of light and windows all round. The tender part at the back, I would probably raise to the level of the cab and supply two bedrooms + a bathroom with rooflights and roof ventilation. I wouldn't have any windows in that part, to keep the look of the vehicle intact, or maybe just a couple of small high level ones.
I'd try to keep the pull down silver shutters to maintain the look, and use them as additional access underneath the beds to storage and plant areas such as batteries, gas bottles, heaters etc as well as the usual garage storage for bikes and outdoor stuff.
Any thoughts?

If I had that it would cost me the same again just for a couple of suitable winches. You'ld pay more for suitable wenches.
