Please let us know if you've been to a festival in your motorhome / campervan and what you think of it.
Did you enjoy it... Would you recommend it to others and reasons for and against... Is there an additional charge for campervans... Is it worth an additional charge... Would you go again.... Would it be a good place to meet other forum members... do you have a trade stall at festivals, if so was it worthwhile...
... and so on...
I have been compiling a list of dog welcoming festivals which I'll dig out and post on the Motorhoming Mutts board.
Please can we keep this thread on topic just for reviews - feel free to start new threads in the General Motorhoming Board to post about festivals in general, or to discuss a certain festival or to plan a meet at a festival etc.

great idea. sometimes gigs and fairs look good on paper but are not too well organised.

Can thoroughly recommend Farmer Phils festival, near Shrophire. Went this summer and it was top, small event, with main stage, acoustic tent, alternative temt and smattering of stalls. food etc. Camping was in fields right next to music area so not far to stagger - compared to bigger ones like WOMAD or Glastonbury where you have to set off to see a band you fancy half an hour before they are due on stage, and easy to pop back to van if you forget something. The main stage is in front of a small sloping hill so you can see whereever you stand, and the bands were excellent, quite a lot of Irish bands and reggae. Very dog friendly and there were lots of dogs there, Mia got loads of people talking to her. You can camp there for a week included in price of ticket, and its set in beautiful rolling countryside. We had a walk around Shrewsbury, very nice old town, maybe 20 mins drive away. Here's linke to web site: www.farmerphilsfestival.co.uk/index.htm

I can definiteley recommend the 'Little Big Gig' at www.henryscampsite.co.uk/ which we attended with Apache Too and Herbenny in September. It is a quirky and quaint site. The gig and site fees including EHU are not much more money than just going to the gig on foot! Many thanks to Her and Himbenny for introducing us to this!

THat sounds great Rob, September is a nice time too, might have a problem fitting it all in though, as also want to do 2 weeks in Scotland West coast, walk the welsh/english/scottish biorders with RT and only get 25 days off, and various other festivals and meets....spolit for choice, better than the opposite though!
