Discussion thread for Forum logo, carrying on from discussions on the FMUK Shop thread... In reply to Ellis boy re - a campfire and dutch oven, I like the idea of that but I wondered if it might give a bad impression as landowners often freak out at the thought of people lighting fires on their land, even if it is done responsibly. So far the discussions seem to have confirmed that the VW doesn't give the right impression about what we are about, and may imply that we are a VW owners group. So perhaps we are looking at a generic campervan shape (maybe a silhoutte against a setting sun) with some other form of symbol, I've been looking at hobo signs but whilst some are amusing, none feel appropriate, but I have come across this :  which is the Native American symbol for friendship. Your thoughts, comments and suggestions please. There is no rush, I'd rather take the time to come up with a logo that we are all happy with. |

OK, so in my next work meeting I will while away the time doodling pictures of snails in front of setting suns with crossed arrows and FMUK inscribed somewhere in it.... leave it with me :-)

We'll have to watch out for the motorcaravanner's club if we get too close to the snail theme:  I've always thought the snail thing portrays us as someone to get stuck behind on winding road - maybe not the best image to have, LOL  |

That's the one I've been looking for Barry - where did you find it? I love it.
I've got my Father in Law on the case. He's doing a bit of photoshop work with stonehenge, a sunrise and a camper. Can't wait to see what he comes up with.

Hi we nearly always freecamp - old age pension gives loads of leisure time but too little money to pay camp site fees.
