Me, using the pressure washer at Tescos which is broken more often than it is in service! Any time or money spent cleaning it is dead, as it will only get dirty again. It doesn't make me feel better cleaning it, in fact it bores me, so I don't see any reason to clean it any more often than 3 or 4 times a year.

I wash it myself with a sponge and bucket in the driveway, standing on a wall to tackle the roof (which is often missed). At this time of year there's not much point in washing it too often because it's soon filthy again within a few miles.
I could do with your man with OCD to clean the interior and then tackle our home!

I wash ours when I can, probably 3 or 4 times a year like Vern, even though it's an old rust bucket. Neil doesn't bother much with cleaning things, so it wouldn't get done otherwise... I've got some proper coach paint and come next spring I'm going to spruce the old gal up (and you keep yer gob shut, gaz! ) Might also be a tad OCD cos I hate "missed bits" as well

I wish I could have cleared up on the stock exchange but don't like shifting money around either - I admit I am difficult to please when it comes to work!
One reason I can see for cleaning the van in the winter is to get rid of road de-icing salts. That would be the only motivation for me.

anybody trying that job should only use cold water ...luke warm or hot causes it to dissolve further and get into smaller crevices and cause worse damage...even salt splatter on windscreens etc infact probs be a good idea to avoid a hot wash all winter

I'll remember that!
Though I'll always blow dirt and grit off with the cold pressure hose before using the hot foam brush - looks like I should wait till spring before the hot foam brush.

Brickies sometimes add Fairy liquid on site to mortar for use as a plasticiser - which they shouldn't as the chlorides in it can end up degrading the mortar (chloride attack).

I normally wash it when the roof starts to go green. Then you have to wash it all as the green water runs down the sides. I use car shampoo from Aldi and a brush on an extending handle and climb on the roof. No I can't reach from the ground before anyone asks.
