At the Caister meet we ran out of gas and LPG conversions was mentioned. Now we are at home and Ron has caught up with his paperwork and things - he is asking about it. I am not technical or practical and I have no retentive memory so cannot remember what advice was given and I am just giving him blank looks (not difficult for me) so these here conversations do they come in kit form or do you go and have it done for you and any other best advice you can think of.

Hello! There's two types of LPG refillable systems :
Refillable bottles: these can be as large as will physically fit in your existing gas locker.
Bulk tank : this is fitted under the van to save space inside.
Both systems are filled in the same way at the pump in the garage.A twin bottle system is roughly the same price as a bulk tank ,around the £300 mark to purchase .You can fit yourself ,depends on how confident/competent you are. The main plus points are: Cheaper to fill than normal bottles No need to remove and carry around. More space in the van if a bulk tank fitted.
Stephen.

Another big plus, if you go abroad, is you only need an adapter to fit the foreign pump - no need for different bottles or regulators.
