Here's a bit of trivia
Can you think of
(a) A site or sites where they allow caravans, and motorcaravans but not tents and the reasons?
(b) A site or sites where they allow caravans, and tents but not motorcaravans and the reasons?
(c) A site or sites where they allow motorcaravans, and tents but not caravans and the reasons?
I can think of at least one example in each.

I've also got Hayfield as an example for (c) - fairly obscure as it was in the National Park near Kinder Scout. They were only given planning permission on the grounds on tents and motorcaravans only. Fairly weird, but they may have had a vision of permanent occupation in big caravans flouting the planning laws.
And yes I have got one for (b) !

Guess I'm only interested in the (c) sites! (b) is tricky but I have seen legal use of caravans (not residential) and tents (100% residential) in Parliament Square. Not under this lot, of course! But I can't see a motor home or even the most stealth PVC getting away with it somehow. Plus it's a bit on the noisy side, so I won't suggest it for the locations. Does this count?

No takers for (b) then?!
My example was when I was refused booking to a small site on the Suffolk coast. I phoned in advance.
The reason given was the grass during the winter. Vans were always getting stuck whereas cars with tents and caravans were apparently OK.

There is a site at Reraig near kyle of lochalsh that didnt like tents, he would allow small tents but they had to be moved everyday - the reason - they kill the grass. A nice friendly guy/site and it did have nice grass
