Needing some thought & advice please fellow campers. After 3 weeks on the road this summer - and, let's face it none of us is getting any younger - it's time for a mattress upgrade. Time to replace the old 3 inch foam which has done well, but is worn, soft & not as firm as it used to be. Sound familiar? Well I've found many bespoke foam mattress suppliers on the web (recommendations welcome) but am bemused by a majority offering the memory foam mattress. In the luxury I call home there is a sprung mattress with a memory foam top which I enjoy immensely. I understand how this works, and the concept of the memory foam topper. I just can't imagine an entire mattress made of the stuff though! So I'm really after the best option for a firm mattress, within 3 inch thickness, that will give comfortable support without my hips sinking to the wooden slatted base. All 11.5 st of me! Interested to hear who has sourced what, done what, reccomendations and top tips.

My double bed is a 6" memory foam mattress straight from Dreams, the bedding people.
My single is a 5" from the same people.
They may do a 4" too which could suit you. The proper domestic quality bedding is very comfy.
