Hello campers I'm at the inaugural Kirkby Stephen Beer and Bangers music and real ale festival which is hopefully going to be an annual event so put this weekend in your diary for next year.
Tickets £8 in advance gives access to the beer and music tent for Fri and Sat nights plus camping ~ a separate area for vans 2 mins walk away, could fit a dozen vans and overspill hard standing parking 100m further away if needed. Dogs welcome.
A really good selection of real ales and ciders, lots of local small breweries. Beer tokens work out at £2.50 a pint.
It's been a really nice little festival in a lovely unspoiled part of cumbria not far from border with Durham, some lovely walks in nearby north Pennines and river Eden, some nice crafty gift shops in town and supermarket 5 mins walk away.
It's all for charity ~ Kirkby Stephen mountain rescue team, Rotary + scouts.
Ideal for a campervan meet so hope to see some of you here next year.

Sounds a good do! I wasn't there but hope you don't mind me lifting attached pic from your gallery which was an old vehicle I liked. There looks plenty to see there: Attachments:

;D yes, the local retained fire crew were there too, with all mod cons.
There wasn't actually much more than beer, bangers and bouncy castle but I think next year there will be more as this was just a test to see how it went. There's lots of local craft businesses which I'm sure might be interested in having a stall and they have a whole year to plan the next one.
