I'd have done Seaside Fest, if it wasn't for Cropredy. The guy who runs it can advertise here too if he wants.
Farmer Phils looks good Mark. I have seen New Groove Formation twice now - great act filling the stage with the two MC's and the girls on brass. They'll probably headline at Harefest next year as Mark Chadwick wanted them to play last and what he says goes! Shame The Roving Crows were not playing Farmer Phils, they are excellent.

Sounds great RT. INterested in new layout but can't picture it cos can't even remember a lake! Ferocious Dog and New Groove foundation were both on at Harefest and also at Farmer Phil's last year, I really like them both, but then have got Irish roots! xx New Groove Formation are from Bedfordshire from memory.

I have got a short clip on my FB page www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=680132815350106I wish I had recorded more of the set, it was fantastic. But a bit short of memory space on camera. Next time I'll take a 64GB card and get the whole show!

I saw peat bog fairies last year in a fairly small venue in Saltaire. They were brilliant but I wanted some vocals. Did they have any in their set at Cropredy?

No vocals, which suits me personally, as I like the more instrumental type stuff. I can't remember seeing them do vocals on any tracks they've produced.

Looks like you had an amazing time at Cropredy and what a fantastic line-up. We did Boomtown Fair in Winchester last weekend for Oxfam which was really hectic. We're off to Beautiful Days on Thursday for a well earned holiday

I want to go to Beautiful Days next year. I met someone at Cropredy who always goes down so maybe we can have a group next year. The problem is it always sells out, so one has to get in early.

It doesn't sell out that early Vern - we only bought our tickets a couple of months ago and they had been on sale for a long time before. We'd decided not to go this year as we've been to so many in the past but our group of friends seems to be getting bigger and every year there is someone new who goes and we feel it would be rude not to join them. We've already said we fancy doing another festie next year instead but if a few on here want to go our plans may change It is a fantastic festival with no corporate sponsorship and one not to be missed.

I did notice they segregated tents and campervans and banned caravans at Beautiful Days, which is a shame as I think the other people I know are tenters. At Cropredy the tents, caravans, and campervans were all in the same fields for the most part proving it can be done if they try.

They do separate them but we have friends in all types of units and if you get there early enough you can get fairly close - a short walk away.
