I really can't be bothered with it any more, the forum is all about politics and baiting each other now, with the odd bit of motorhoming thrown in. Let 'em get on with it.

Yeah, I don't mind a quick political discussion. But one can make a point and leave it at that. I lose interest when it goes round in circles and becomes baiting, slanging, multi-quoting and point scoring. Some people seem to love it though so I can't deny them their bit of "fun"

Sowwy, folks, I'm very guilty of doing wind-ups too It's always a pointless exercise, but I'm bored with the weather at the minute

I used to be on there but pulled out and cancelled my subscription. (I wish I hadn't have done that now because I can't go back and watch the fun.) I am told that some of the topics have got out of hand though. I found one or two members were so aggressive in their attacks on me, I was under the impression that it was a friendly site when I joined.

I think it's still a friendly site with some very good information, and great members. But being a large site, there are a few people on there with big egos who like to argue, and in some cases bully. I don't think it is Phil's fault or the site's fault, just an inevitable consequence of a large site. You can't really moderate that, as a lot of it is simply opinion and free speech. Some of the perpetrators delight in seeing how close to the wind they can sail, and how objectionable they can be, without actually getting banned; it's their entire raison d'etre in some cases

"On the Flip Flap" is an old CB (Citizens Band) Radio saying which means "Returning". A lorry driver perhaps? would call another and ask where are you? An answer could be... "I've just dropped off in Leeds and now I'm on the Flip Flap". Perhaps someone may know if this Derek is an ex CB user, perhaps, lorry driver.

Yes a lorry driver apparently.

Yes, he is a long-distance lorry driver (currently on a job, I think) and I think he used to use CB.

I found one or two members were so aggressive in their attacks on me, I was under the impression that it was a friendly site when I joined. I had the same feeling but have not got that problem any more as when I told them I could not afford the subscription next year they refunded my present subs. In other words they saud f off.

I still think WC's a good forum though. There seems to be a very fine line sometimes. Either people love somewhere or the next minute they hate it. Where's all that middle ground gone

Sowwy, folks, I'm very guilty of doing wind-ups too It's always a pointless exercise, but I'm bored with the weather at the minute Baiting Win until he responds was a bit unnecessary though, surely you only have to wait a while before he pops his head out of the old turtle shell to put someone down or tell you how good he is. You need a bit more patience, not easy when it's raining though I suspect. Still I loved it, do I have to wait for the rain again.
