At the Romsey show we met the couple that run Brit Stops. Its the same as French Passion ,but in the uk.You pay a £25 yearly subscription and receive a book full of Farms, vineyards and other places where you can stop for 24h for free. Some places even have hook up.The yearly subscription runs from March till February ( same as French passion).itlooks quite good and would be the nearest thing to staying on a site that I could possibly be comfortable with.Does anyone else use it? www.britstops.com/

I joined a couple of years ago, but let membership lapse without using any sites. But then, I didn't like Frances Passion either, so it might just be me.

We have been members of Brit Stop ever since it started, in some ways it is very good ie you get to park in some great safe places and being Disabled I always feel safe But me being soft always feel that I should buy some thing from them and it can work out costing me more that it would of to of stayed on a site with rhubarb and all the trimmings.

I personally wouldn't use it. I think I'd feel obliged to buy quite a bit. I guess it is a little like going and staying with a pub; you are morally due to buy some drinks but a pub is probably more controllable and you have to drink and eat in any case, so you save a bit off your food budget.
Plus you have the subscription to pay too. £25.00 is quite a lot... for some info which could be provided online free of charge, and any expense to host could be covered by the organisations listed there, but I guess they are trying to make a crust out of it.
