Yeah, Rob , its a great little guide, but I am biassed - I read the whole mag too including all the ads, you sometimes see useful ideas etc. They have a feature on van conversions with rear dinettes that I was really interested in that has led me to consider next van could go bit bigger and use rear dinette as permanent bed, still get 4 travelling seats etc... lookin agt Devon Monte Carlo on Renault Master ...but i digress, ...in short yes, worth it!

I went to buy one today, but then saw how small the guide was. It also said '..... from your pitch' so I thought that meant a campsite pitch and decided not to buy. Maybe that's just me being Scottish!

I want a permanent bed. Our latest buy was a proper sprung mattress which we can cram into the overcab but put onto the dinette at night. Much better than cushions and mattress topper and pretty much like sleeping at home.

Sounds great, though quite a big item - I find my mattress topper takes upquite a lot of space. its fine if using van as single bed but if you want it as double bed then its qiite a faff, and then theres no where else to sit. Rear dinette is option have only just started considering - hard to get it all my requirements in one van - want room to take grandkids, so 4 travelling seats, easy to make up bed, and not too long... luckily I enjoy researching it
