I decided sometime ago to change the layout of the front dinette. The seat had a maximum widthand there wasn't room to lounge on it,plus it didn't give a sence of great space down the isle between seat and kitchen unit.So I've been busy this afternoon and removed said seat and the raised floor area.Theplan now is to build an inward facing setee which I'll be about 4ft long and not protrude as far into the van as the old one, simples 8-| Attachment Deleted

that's the great thing about self builds, you can chop and change however you want.

Yes the edge of seat kitchen unit is a big pinch point in these plans. I think I managed 500mm in mine which is the very minimum but it widens out to 650mm in front of the kitchen unit, between that and the bathroom.

Looking good EllisBoy, it will be worth all the hard work when you ae lounging on it, sinking back into your lovely comfy cushions with a glass of what ever takes your fancy in one hand and a self satisfied smile on your face, hopefully by Easter Sunday!
