I got a new lesuire battery which was fitted for me. Unfortunately the guy put the terminals on the wrong posts!! I found this out when I could not get the lights to come on, so I checked the conection and found the problem. I connected it up correctly, but then still could not get any power through to the habitation. Not a pop on the meter either. Any ideas what damage has been done to cause this? The company that did it are closed until Monday. Thanks

have you checked the voltage on the battery and check all the fuses

sounds like it's popped a fuse, unless the battery is dead, is it connected to a split charge system?

The glass fuses in the back are all ok, and the ones on the dashboard dont corespond to it. I dont know where the other fuses might be.
It's on a split charge, and the battery is brand new and still showing the greenlight.

look by the battery there might be a inline fuse there on the red wire the positive connection take it th e glass fuses are in the control panel so do you have any lights that work at all at is the green light on when on hookup or just when connected to battery

I'd just disconnect it totally & take it in tomorrow as they're open, explain there mistake & tell them you haven't reconnected it as you were to worried to in case there was any damage & let them fix there own faults

Here's the update.... I only just got it sorted today! It was, as suggested, the master fuse which was blowen. When it was in the garage the other day, they did a fix but the leisure battery was showing flat. Somehow though managed to get the propex fired up using the starter battery to power the leisure one. (I couldn't do that a week ago!). I got the battery changed but it still did not work! BAck at the garage today and he finally found where the fuse was hidden, and replaced it. The garage made no charge, just a suggested contribution to their charity for London - Paris cycle The autofactors that caused the problem were disgracefull. At least I am back on track and will make it to Crufts with a functioning van

Ah well... at least you got it sorted Thought it was a fuse as there was no sparks and clouds of smoke, Tricky to know which fuse though without knowing the van better. It would be possible to power the Propex off the starter battery by jumping the charge relay (in the absence of starting the engine).
