At the top of the forum in the news section, 1 of the messages says
Please post more wildcamping locations- go to Wild Camping UK Locations and post under your county's sub board
but I can't see that anywhere, am I missing something? I drive as part of my job & always keep my eyes open for potential spots.

Really sorry man....the locations are available to those with 250+ posts and we ask that they are submitted only if you have stayed overnight there. Sorry, them's the rules but may be subject to change in future

250 will fly past Tammy if you keep up the way you are going ;-)
It's nice to see a new member posting so much and it means that you have something to look forward to... although don't get too excited in case you're disappointed once you reach the grand 250!
And be reassured, vwSurfbus was a newbie not so long ago and he's a wild motorhomer already, and it's as if he's part of the furniture now!

yes it's true what wvw says though i think i only did 180 posts and firefox gave me 250 extra to get in as he said i made a good contribution what a gent! but 250 posts is a lot for people who arent used to forums i used to post on the vw forums so its no big deal 4 me but 4 some people they find forums intimedating and not sure whare to post so so 250 posts would take years and years.

That was exactly the kind of ethos that the original group behind setting up the forum wanted - that the 250 barrier should ensure that casual users who simply wanted access to locations without making any significant contribution to the forum should have to earn that privilege. And that in many cases, members would be known to us from other forums and would be given the 250 posts automatically as we are aware of how much they have contributed to other forums and we know that they are genuine forum supporters. We also felt that it would become obvious as to which new members were going to prove to be worthy members by the content of their posts aswell as the amount of posts they make and these people could be awarded the honorary 250 post status if other admin / mods agreed which is what Firefox has done in your case Surfbus. So basically the more a member contributes to the forum whether in posts, new threads or reporting WC locations, the more chance they have of being rewarded with access to non public information. I just hope they aren't disappointed when they reach the promised land aka 250 posts
