Hi sorry if I'm repeating another thread but how much would I expect to pay for gas installed with one 6k bottle and a filler hole fitted, including pigtails and adapters etc? And can anyone recommend anyone? I'm in Bradford, West Yorkshire. Thanks

Bottles are about £100-£120
I would suggest £200-£300 inc parts and fitting??
Or you could get an LPG adapter for existing 6kg bottle. £30 from ebay. For a low usage user this would seem much more practical than a gas-it installation which will take ages to reclaim outlay.
PS. Can one link 3 bottles together? Of completely no relevance to your question, but I thought I would ask anyway!

Thanks The 6kg set is £160 for parts less wc discount , I fitted in locker fill kit in less than an hour .i did it to save locker space and convenience. As I have fill station 1 mile away ,I reckon it will take about 12. Bottle exchanges. To get your money back, more if you pay to have it fitted, 24 if you pay £300 .do your own sums then decide .

Thanks Barrie, I'm getting it done via someone on a FB group for £220, which includes cutting a filler hole. I think it will be worth it for the convenience alone and will free up a little bit of storage, which is invaluable in my van.

You are doing it for exactly the same reasons as me, it works for me ,just make sure you get a gauge. Bazz

I've got a Gaslow gauge on my bottle. Cost about £25.00 as I remember. Not really that much use apart from pressure testing the system. The best gauge is a spare full bottle that you just swap in and then fill the empty one while you're using the one you swapped in

For me Vernon the whole point is not changing bottle and having a little bit of extra space. I'll just top up regularly I've got backup for cooking and have diesel heating so if I do run out it's only the fridge that suffers.....

A gauge? Thought they came with one! The cheapest bottle comes without a gauge, the kits come with a gauge They are a bit naff but better than nothing after a while. You learn how to read it, mine reads empty when when 1/3 is left.
