I came back to the Stonehenge byway last night after 2 nights elsewhere, parked up in same place as Vern's van was, only other vans here were the Belgian lad, and a new van (marked incident response unit but I think its working days are long over) parked further down towards Larkhill. Quiet night but at about 11am the Belgian lad drove off seemingly in a hurry.
By chance I have just spotted a big newish white pickup, no markings except for red and yellow flashing on the tailgate, driving along the track, towards Larkhill. It stopped about 20 feet away from me and the driver took a photo of my van. It stopped next to the campfire ashes for a few seconds too, and then again by the other van. If I see it again, I shall take a photo of it :-P
Am staying here for the day to do some van admin, but I think I'm going to move on tonight just in case an eviction order is being planned. Tbh, I doubt they would bother just for a couple of vans but I suspect they are gathering evidence to use to prevent future use of the byway.
So one of today's jobs is to clear away the campfire ashes and to make good the ground again as much as I can (using Diesel's hay :-) ) so that the burned ground isn't so obvious.

I Think it's Good That You've Got the Suss to Get Away Jess, They're More Likely to Slap an Evic. Notice on 1 or 2 Than a Bigger Group....Cowardly Sods!

When Kangooroo and I were there three years ago after a big WC meet over the weekend, the council nuisance vehicle (unmarked white SWV) came round.
He just asked how long we were staying (we were leaving that afternoon) and then went over to Kim the druid and gave him a warning notice (he had been there 8 months complete with genny and windbreak !)
Basically it will take them a few weeks to get the paperwork together. Only if you stay weeks and months like some of them do, is it likely to become a problem.

I wasn't particularly bothered about eviction as I knew I'd be long gone before they did the paperwork but my concern was about not giving the council and the NT and EH more evidence to use to justify decision to move fences, place boulders on verges or put up height barriers. Leaving the ashes of the campfire is such evidence.

Nice pics Ron, couldn't spot you in your Druid's outfit though suppose that would have been a selfie!
