We went there with some optimism, as we had heard about its stuffiness and motorhome unfriendliness. There were a couple of m/h parked up on the sea front when we arrived earlyish am, so assume they had been there overnight.Police were about later, but I didnt see them hassling any vans.I read the carpark notices carefully, and it wasnt mentioned thata camper couldnt park in the cp , just that you couldnt overnight in there. There were signs around covering everything, like access to the prom, even havinv to get permission to use the model boat lake.overall I think they are trying to preserve the seafronts calm and neat appearance, but have gone too far withthe signage. We would go again, maybe even overnight tnere.

Rod, Go right thru' the Town, past the Triangular Green/Pub/Gun Hill...You'll come to an Ace little Free C/P...No Signs at all. Always 2 or 3 Vans there & a Lovely quiet Night! We were there W/E before...but got up to the Old Hall in Caister as Southwold was too Posh to show the England Vs Italy game in the Pub!!
