I couldn't find a good picture of the face of the unit showing the switches and writing,if you can post a pic then we'll explain it. usually there is one switch saying 240v or 12v.this is the 2 methods of charge for the leisure battery.when on hookup you press down to 240v,when driving to 12v. then there is a second switch to allow you to draw power from the van battery or the leisure battery. this may be signed CAR and VAN. car is vehicle battery, van is LB hope I'm remembering this right !
is this what you need to know ?

Does it look like this? It's quite an old one? I can't read the writing on the switches- if you can post a blow up photo of yours we maybe can help. In some of those zig units the switch is just to select what battery you use (starter/leisure) not to actuate the split charge to the leisure If all else fails it may be worth starting the engine and seeing if you have a charging voltage (14v+) across the leisure battery with a multi meter. If not try various switch positions to see if it makes a difference and if you can get a charge.
