We are up for Greywell, despite trying to get our arms twisted to go to Radwell. We will get there on Friday evening, hopefully in time for fish and chips.
We saw Andrea today and she said she will be at Greywell...

I'll be there on Friday evening (complete with Bench!). I have Rob the gamekeepers number and will ring him midweek to see what will be available and then post back on here. Do we know if Sue and Martin will be there or is the move on that weekend?

We will bring snails if you want them Basildog !!! I can't stand them but Andy is quite partial. We bought some for our Daughters 16th birthday party and were amazed at how many of her friends liked them. We do a good line in unusual foods so will see what else we can bring for you all to try. I'll make a nice warming soup too as I think we might need it in this weather.

Usually good old Lidl's but we've seen them in other supermarkets too.

Why's this arranged same w/e as Radwell?....... It's more to do with location and travel than anything else. Greywell is good for the South and South West, Radwell is better for the East, Midlands, and some North. Coming from the wrong direction, you could easily put 4 hours on your round trip as well as fuel costs if you go to the further one, not to mention a very nasty chunk of the M25 depending what time you travel.

Yeah, appreciate the distances involved.......guess I'm just sulking 'cos I've missed 2 meets @ Greywell now!!

Have you got caramelised apples and pears cooked on the campfire though ? Andrea cooked us a Butternut Squash soup which was lovely as well as I think 3 crumbles. I had a couple of portions of the Apple Crumble (made with the Apples from the pub garden) with Clotted Cream and Custard and it was spectacular! We also had a table full of Sausages, Pork Pies and various cheeses, thanks to Helen and Linda. I've also now got a freezer full of Venison, Rabbit and Pigeon breasts courtesy of Rob the gamekeeper.

Called in to see lee's brother on the way home and got invited to stay for dinner so not long been home.
Great weekend as always at Greywell, lovely to catch up with everyone and share meals We do eat well!
We have venison sausage and burgers, pheasants and rabbit, all to be sorted tomorrow.
Stopped off at morrisons on the way home for special offer baileys but sadly sold out, we did get 1/2 price smoked salmon though.
Look forward to next meet.

I cannot take all the credit for the crumbles Rob although they were cooked in our oven. Helen made two with apples and rhubarb from her garden and Sue prepared the apples we scrumped from the pub - all I did was open a packet of crumble mix and sprinkle it on As Linda said - we do eat well and it was all really yummy - thank you everyone for another great weekend.
