We stayed at this Motorhome stopover in Caister on Sea recently, it is a hotel bar and spar, you can use all the facilities whilst in your own Motorhome. dates are 23 24 noverber It is free on the first night and £5 per night thereafter, breakfast is £5 and you get free vouchers to use the spar. The owners are lovely and welcoming the food bar excellent. If the ladies like there are treatments and a hair dresser but you will need to book. This is a limited place booking ten vans only with three hook ups, 8 places are left ... First come first served. this is put on wc too

Would dearly love to come to this Paul it looks a real gem but I just checked and it's 300 miles each way, just to far for a weekend.

Yeah same problem for me MTM, though not as far as for you, but still over 200 miles each way. NOt decided yet, tempted to make it a long weekened, but also may have works do that weekend. Paul, is that offer on all year? Maybe good for the spring??

Good to see that Chris & Moya are still keeping this idea going! We went there in Feb. A group of M/Homers were already there (only 5 spaces then...) Chris (L/L) wryly saying that He was gonna pull down the Hotel & just run a CS there! Woodforde Wherry on Tap & Good Food. Oh, & the Heated Pool in the Leisure Centre just perfect for easing the Hangover Sunday Morning! Howsabout some of Us going there?....I'm thinking W/E Nov. 16-17? Re. the avail. spaces:- Chris has a big, (expensive!) M/H & the others there in Feb. req'd E/H but We just parked in one of the standard Car Park slots as swb.........If any interest, I'll dig out the phone no. & enquire how many smaller vans can 'invade' as well as the M/H spaces?....... Whoops, sorry Flyby......missed Your dates above! Think O/H has a Party arranged that W/E so I'd have the difficult decision to make between being surrounded by Filipina crumpet..........or You Lot!!!!

That looks brilliant and it would be great if more hotels/B&Bs followed its lead.
I'm heading to Norfolk next month and if my trip is extended I'll give it a try for a night (paid for).

Anybody going tomorrow? If so, what time are you getting there?

Will try and get over there tomorrow, but it won't be till late evening.
Hopefully I can tackle this journey earlier about 18.00 or 19.00 as I do not have to contend with any M25/M1 madness and go cross country on the A505/A14/A12 etc

I checked the map around there, and not many local footpaths unless you go off to the Broads. Otherwise, walks to the bar are available, and of course bracing walks along the sand and front

I checked the map around there, and not many local footpaths unless you go off to the Broads. Otherwise, walks to the bar are available, and of course bracing walks along the sand and front Head North along the coast for a nice coastal walk up to California, Scratby and Newport. I took me bike along here in 2012. About 5 miles to Newport. There was a regular bus service in the summer. Watch the tides though if you go along the beach up at Winterton....the dunes are quite steep although you can escape.

That looks mega posh, you lucky devils! Is it really only £5 per night? Got to be the bargain of the year! Enjoy yourselves, but, word of warning... stay off the brandy! Life: unfinished threads in a never-ending tapestry

Come along, there's loads to do in the area. Great Yarmouth amusements, coastal walks, sandy beaches, the bar and spa, cheap provisions at Lidl just over the road, Norfolk Broads nearby, campfires on the beach subject to weather, country walks and pub crawls.
Thanks to Paul for organising it!
