Did anyone go , or catch it on telly? I watched all the Stones set (well all that was televised)and was fully prepared to be cringing at the old men still trying to rock and roll.. but in fact i was so impressed, especally Mick Jagger, he is still such a show off, still skinny and still got more energy than I ever had! They were joined by a few other musicians the only one I knew was Mick Taylor but there was a lot of good stuff going on, I loved it all and it looked like the audience did too. I also saw the Mumfords set but they were just too measured for me, they play well but it just never took off, can't imagine anyone having much of a dance to them. Caught lots of other bits too, it looked like a brilliant festival, everyone kept saying how inclusive it felt, OK for all ages etc... well they did have Brucie and Kenny Rogers as well as the Stones!! I went 3 times in the early 80's - I couldnt believe how massive it is now!! Not sure if i would like to go back or not... looked like you would have to walk miles... and would get a better view on Telly! Has anyone got any fave bits? Will ry to catch any on I-player

I saw the Stones Anne (in the 1990's). And even though they were getting on a bit back then, it was still the best concert I've ever seen. I've delivered benches to the Glastonbury arena, but don't think I could cope with all that mud for too long if I went as a spectator.

I've not caught up with much coverage yet, not had the time. I would love to see Elvis Costello's set though.
I watched Fleetwood Mac (Live from Boston 2004) last night. It was absolutely brilliant, catch it on sky if you get the chance.

We went to Glastonbury, stewarding for Oxfam - it was amazing Had free entry, our own secure field, free showers and clean loos, fantastic free food and free mobile phone top up. Took the camper for free too. Saw all of the Stones set, heard Elvis Costello and got crushed trying to see the Arctic Monkeys but the best bit was wandering round the site taking in all the sights and sounds, and no mud

I rememeber that gig, wasn't it planned anyway then Brian died and it turned into a memorial? Not sure,... but remember it happening and would have loved to have been there, was about 14 at the time... happy days:)

Amazing that Mick was like he was then, yet he is almost painfully shy now apart from when he is on stage.

Did you actually get any sleep?! We were there for a week and managed to get some sleep Anne. The Oxfield is a quiet zone as stewards work a 24 hour shift pattern. It's a fantastic way of going to festivals for free as Oxfam really look after you well.

Yeah it sounds brill, considering what the tickets cost, how much stewrding hours did you have to do? Is it mostly a case of wandering around and helping people find their tents, that sort of thing?

We did 3 x 8 hour shifts over the whole week so had lots of free time. We were on the busiest gate checking tickets, wristbands and ID for forgeries. On Sunday morning we had 5,000 people pass through the gate in an hour - there was 50 of us on one gate!!!

This concert is on Sky Arts 1 at the moment Nigel. I've only just switched it on but it has nearly finished. I could see somebody hanging off a Palm tree to the side of the stage, bit of a fuzzy hair do - was that you??
