Well I've no plans other than rewiring the habitiation part of the van but I could bring my wiring with me (and a torch!)! I'll probably be busy getting things to work but not every hour of the day! I might need some tips and advice anyway! I've also not managed to get the water pump to work or tried the boiler so thats on the list.
I was also planning on sorting the starter solenoid out (keeps sticking I think casuing the starter to continue to run)and changing the gearbox oil but I should be able to get that done Thursday evening all going well!
No guarantees but I might be there!

Yes, I'm not certain I'm going to be there, but if I can get a few things done I will be.

I delivered to a pub near Chichester today. It was in an absolutely beautiful location, surrounded by small hills. There are only a couple of old houses adjacent and it seems that you really are in the middle of nowhere. The landlord said he had no problems with MH overnighting there and it would be perfect for a mini meet. It is set in a hollow, with a narrow road down to it (275 yards down a hill). I would suggest no more than 5 vans there on the grass at the back of the car park, but I will discuss this with the landlord when I visit. The pub has loads of history and it's own ghost (although the picture of the ghost on the website looks a bit dubious!). They have a reasonable looking menu and of course real ales. www.royaloakhooksway.co.uk/I love this place!

I got really excited when you mentioned The Royal Oak near Chichester as we ran The Royal Oak in Midhurst (which is near Chichester) many moons ago and I thought it might be the same pub. It is very similar.

I've not contacted Richard yet. I'll ring Jim and Rosi in the morning and make sure there are no change of plans and ring Richard tomorrow evening. I'll check this thread again to see who else is going.
Yes, The Royal Oak looks a really special place!

www.foxandgoosegreywell.co.uk/RG29 1BY It's off the M3 near J5. It takes me 1 hour 20, and it would take me 3 hours 30 to get to Bradford, so I reckon 4 and half hours+ for you to Greywell, assuming clear M1/M25. Chichester, Royal Oak is even further I'm afraid... add another hour maybe.

Have a good trip to Scotland, watch out for the midges!

I'm going to do my best to get there Friday night, typically I'm working in Shoreham on Friday so will be going round the M25 home and then back round in the in the van to get to Greywell! It will all depend on traffic and how much I get held up! If I don't make it Friday I'll definitely be there Saturday!

Thanks for sorting it out everyone I am always a bit reticent to ring Richard, I don't want to catch him at the wrong time and get him in a flap if he is busy! I hope we aren't overstaying our welcome there. They get fair business from us I know but I don't know if they have any official permission for stopovers of more than one or two vans as per 1960 act exception

As long as we behave ourselves, noise/nuisance, I can't see anyone taking umbridge! Camping is actually advertised on his website, so am assuming all is in order! www.foxandgoosegreywell.co.uk/camping-with-us

Yes, it is their problem... and we are well behaved!
When we get our exemption cert, we would be able to convene there legally even if they don't have official permission for stopovers of more than one unit for two nights.

Looking good for getting to Greywell tomorrow, although it may be late. The new starter motor with solenoid is fitted and no more problems so far, my friend noticed part of the gear linkage was loose so tightened it up and its so much better, took it for a quick spin and it was like a different van, also fitted a radio so I can listen to some tunes on the way! Only the wiring left, its all disconnected at the moment while I try to understand it!
Van is all loaded all ready to go for when I get back from work tomorrow. Beau is excited (any packing especially her food and biscuits gets her excited) and she seems to think we are going tonight! She'll have to be patient! Hopefully see some of you tomorrow.

Good turn out here! Eight vans so far and possibly more to come. There's been the odd shower but only lasting about a minute I've met five new people and three more dogs. Oh, and Richard's profits are looking good already!
