No need to spend a fortune to adapt a van for camping. Here are some ideas for very basically fitting out a small panel van for camping to include: * 6'7" bed * sink with manual pump tap * storage lockers * roof vent * solar-powered roof fan * loo * picnic table * basic cooking facility - all for less than £600! Great project and I believe the van made well above the odds when sold at a dealers?

Indeed it did.
I'm still hoping to see it out on the road and meet the purchasers!

I've got an old Kangoo Trekka 4x4 in good nick. You've got me thinking... Go for it. I camped in mine for up to 3 weeks at a time and traveled the country from Lands End to John o'Groats, wilding all the way (except for occasional campsite showers). Insurers were happy for me to fit out the rear with sink and cupboards but no gas or 'living accommodation'. It was pure coincidence that the beanbag Z-bed along the lockers on the right just happened to be comfy to sleep on....!!
