There will be a few... Windancer, Rubbertramp, Millie, Basildog. The usual suspects! May even persuade my dad! Any others would be welcome. Just let us know and we can let the landlord know... there should be plenty of places. It's free but the deal is we patronise the pub (which is quite good... not bad food and usually Doombar!). Great walking around the old Basingstoke Canal and the Woodlands round Hook and Odiham Castle. www.foxandgoosegreywell.co.uk/

Will be good to meet your Dad Vern - I'm bringing my Mum but she won't manage walking very far. I'm hoping my Dad can make it to the castle or maybe even Warnborough, but he's 81 now and doesn't have much feeling in his feet. Hoping to set off around 8 tomorrow and get there before closing time.

I'm aiming to set off at 8 tonight. Usually takes me 1 hour 20. I have to get the van cleaned out a bit first though!

I'll soon be out shopping too Linda, for party food. Huge family gathering tomorrow - 25 of us I think - to help Martin celebrate his big birthday... I'm sure he'd rather be camping! Enjoy your weekend everyone.

I'm off to Greywell next Saturday as the start of a weeks holiday ending up at the Stratford meet the following weekend. Meeting up with Jim and Rosi (Helmit), we're going to stay at Greywell for a night and then head off to Cheddar, the rest we will play by ear and see where we end up! We were planning to go to Scotland, but need more time really, so will do that in a couple of months.
Can't wait to get out again, having had to miss a couple of meets whilst Julie has been ill.

Greywell seems popular, maybe I'll get there soon for a couple of nights! Hope you are all enjoying yourself, I'm busy re-wiring my van. At least its not raining today!
I'm planning to go to the Lakes and then the small bit of Scotland to the southwest of Glasgow from mid August for a couple of weeks. I missed that bit of Scotland when I did my trip last year and want to go to the lakes so seems like a good idea to do both in one trip!
Looking forward to using the van! Should see a few of you at Stratford in a couple of weeks - I might still be doing wiring then!

Had a great time at Greywell again.
Met up with Vindiboy from another forum. One of his friends came too.
Thanks to Charlie/Karen for doing BBQ and selection of meats and salad, Pat for doing the washing up, Chris for Veg skewers and sausages, Sue/Martin for wine, potatoes, chicken, and doughnuts, Mark for the beer and sausages (+ my Dad for couscous, beer and wine). We also has smoked salmon, olives, and samphire, so lots to eat.
Went for a walk to North Warnborough on Sat and spent a more lazy day on Sunday, apart from collecting firewood. We ate in the pub on Sat night, it's about £7-10 for an evening meal.
Had fires on all three nights - loads of use for the Southern Frosties Fire pit.
Anyone is welcome at one of the meet ups. Just check out the forum for dates!

Once I've done a few initial jobs on the van I hope to join in a bit more I'm keeping my eye on events (if it wasn't for fathers day and alrady having plans I'd have joined you at Greywell), and if anyone wants to meet up during my trip to the Lakes and southern Scotland in August you are more than welcome! No plan of route yet but I'll be climbing Scafell Pike at some point with Beau so having some human company is always nice

Blimey - you're busy! I would have gone to the fix it meet but I've been to that area for the last 3 years so trying to go to places I've not been before, also running out of annual leave!

Same here... well have been to Scotland for two weeks, so that takes a big chunk. It was worth it though!
I haven't been down to Devon for a while and would love to see Wildman's site so that one is a must for me.
Although I have done Pillar, Great Gable, and rough camped in Wasdale and the Black sail area I never had a chance to do Scafell yet. I'd really like to do Hellvelyn, Skidaw, and Scafell in one trip!
