Yay!! Well done Sue what an achievement!! Also cant wait to see the transofrmation. And on a much smaller scale, I have just been telling Mark how ridiculously excited I am with the new material I have just bought to make curtains for my van, cant wait to make them - except have lent sewing machine to someone and got no idea who!!

Kangooroo did my curtains... thanks Kangooroo! It was one of the only things I didn't do myself as I didn't have a sewing machine. I had a go at some bits though.

That was very kind of her! But curtains are pretty easy, I am sure you could manage them , they are just straight lines, though they are about the limits of my sewing skills actually!!

The curtains didn't come with any guarantee though. Lotusanne - should they really have straight lines..??!! Oh dear - too late!

They were mostly straight, even the bits I had a go at! But we used a matching thread. They are a really nice job. Zig zag stitch too! Anne you can inspect them next week and give marks out of 10

Haha, no fear, I am not going to mark them as I will be making mine in a cheaty way - going to fold fabric over , inside out and machine down sides, fold then goes at bottom to make hem that requires no stitching, then machine curtain hook thingy across top all in one go, well thats the plan, not tried it before, if anyone can see any pitfalls please shout now!! Have just borrowed sewning machine, hoovered up dog hairs and about to get cutting!!

I'll bring some wire, cable crimpers and terminals ... just in case. And I will have a 300w mini food processor which runs off the 12v batteries plus a full cupboard of spices and fresh herbs, so if you need something for a masterechef dish, just ask, LOL.
