How do I find out what oil to put in my 1993 Talbot diesel? It wasn't on the charts in the shop. I bought a 15/40 mineral thinking that was possibly the one, but need to be sure before I add it. Thanks

Thanks This page www.jktowers.fsnet.co.uk/motorhome/TalbotExpressTechnical.htmlists 15w30 or 15w50 but I think 15w40 would be OK too. The last number is viscosity when hot so 40 is somewhere between the two. Mineral oil is fine for engine of that era. You won't get any benefit from synthetic or semi synthetic. Incidentally that page has lots of other useful info about your engine and mechanics Main page: www.jktowers.fsnet.co.uk/motorhome/index.htmLots more info about Talbot Express, parts, specs, settings etc.

Interesting and informative reading. Thank you No probs. From his main page the guy is also a Talbot motorhome owner too. I guess some of the longest lived Talbots are the motorhomes. I wonder if Jen knows about this page?!
