I'm thinking of buying a Kindle Fire, not that I read a lot but Julie does.
What else can you do with it (keep it clean), Internet/films etc.

If you're looking for a Kindle mostly for reading, one of the more basic Kindles might be better. Their screens are easier to read and don't cause eyestrain, unlike the Fire.

I was thinking more in terms of reading for Julie and Internet and films for both of us, but what sort of set up would I need? Do I need a dongle or just blue tooth to my phone? I'm a bit out of touch as I usually only use the internet at home!

i got my lass and myself a fire hd last year. battery life is nowhere near as good as a "normal" but then the screen uses loads of power. i've got a usb charging point in the bus to keep em topped up. theres no internet access away from a wireless spot. (no data roaming either) loads of memory for music, films etc, films you have to either have wireless to watch or convert to a format the kindle likes and save them to memory. lots of apps, so you can game away, my lass is a wordsearch and solitaire freak. web browsing is good, when you've got wireless access. i think it's the dogs nuts, suits us plenty. if your'e mainly into web stuff (browsing, downloading, streaming music/films) then a tablet or laptop would be better.
