Would you be be prepared to pay at meets towards public liability insurance, which may be necessary if we got an exemption certificate on some sites. Also could be used if for example if we had a campfire, and a member of the public walked by and tripped up and got burned on our fire (just to put you in the picture if you don't know what public liability is).
At a rough guess, such insurance would be several hundred pounds a year.
£3 from 10 members at 10 meets a year would net £300 a year just as an example. I doubt we'd get that much as we don't meet that regularly, but that's just a heads up on where £3-5 a meet comes from.

Another costs scenario - 10 members at 5 meets per year each paying £4 each would raise £200
20 members at 5 meets per year each paying £2 each would also raise £200
If anyone has an idea what it would cost per year, please give your estimate here. I saw a quote for performing magicians and it was £100 a year not involving fire acts and £130 for fire! I'm guessing £200-£400. Someone told me WC4MH had public liability and it ran into £1000's. That was third hand info though, I don't see it would be £1000's but it would likely only cover us for official meets anyway. If a few of us decided to stop and have campfire at Stonehenge or on a beach, we probably would not be covered, so it may not be worth that much to us.
